Replacement Costs by Machine
- Polaris RZR (glass): $400 – $900 for the windshield. OEM glass with DOT certification runs higher. Aftermarket options start around $250 but may not include coatings. Labor: $100–$200. Total: $500 – $1,100.
- Can-Am Defender: $350 – $700 for full glass windshield. The Defender's windshield is large and curves at the edges, making it pricier than flat-panel designs. Total with labor: $450 – $900.
- Polaris Ranger: $300 – $600 for glass, depending on model year and whether it includes wiper cutout. Total: $400 – $800.
- Honda Pioneer 1000: $250 – $500. More standardized sizing keeps costs lower. Total: $350 – $600.
- Kawasaki KRX 1000: $400 – $800. The KRX uses a large, curved windshield that's expensive to source. Total: $500 – $1,000.
Glass vs. Polycarbonate
Glass windshields ($400–$900) are more expensive but resist scratching. Polycarbonate ($150–$400) is cheaper and shatter-resistant but scratches easily and hazes from UV exposure. Both types benefit from external protection during transport and storage.
